Whenever we face trials and difficulties, the devil will make us feel as though all hope is gone. He will try to convince us that the darkness will never lift, and there is no way out of this mess. Don’t entertain those negative, evil thoughts! The Bible instructs us to trust in the Lord for His rescue, His wisdom and His help. No matter what we face, Jesus promised to never leave us nor forsake us. There is always hope when we put our trust in God.
The Bible is full of encouraging, true stories about some very challenging circumstances people faced and how they overcame. When these people put their faith in God, they experienced God’s miraculous intervention.

Remember Joseph who was mocked, rejected, thrown in the pit by his brothers and sold to traders for twenty shekels of silver. He endured years long separation from his family, spent time in prison wrongly accused, and ultimately was given charge over Egypt. God gave Joseph a plan to save all of Egypt from the coming seven-year drought that had been forewarned in dreams to the Pharaoh. Joseph obeyed God in all that he did, and led a life of honor, so God put him in a position where he could provide for God’s people.
Think of Daniel in the lion’s den. Daniel distinguished himself above governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him and the king set him over the whole realm. Jealousy ensued and the governors had Daniel arrested for not giving up his daily prayers to God. He experienced miraculous deliverance because he trusted in God. The Bible says he was taken up out of the den of lions, and no injury whatsoever was found on him, because he believed in his God. Whatever you may be facing probably does not compare to being thrown to the lions. If God delivered Daniel out of such a certain death, I’m sure He can handle your situation.
Another true Bible story is the three Hebrew boys, who were thrown into the fiery furnace because they would not bow down and worship King Nebuchadnezzar’s statue. They said they would only bow down and worship the one true God. The king had the furnace heated seven times hotter than normal but God showed up and protected the three boys and not even the smell of smoke was on them when they were released.
All three of these situations looked hopeless, yet God delivered them in the midst of their trials.
When any of us are going through difficult circumstances, demons are quick to whisper in our ear and fill our minds with fear, doubt, discouragement and even hopelessness. Their primary aim is to get us in such a beaten-down, weary state that we begin to doubt God’s love and care for us.

We must remember the stories of those who have endured, those who God rescued from times of despair and even danger. The Lord is always faithful to help us when we call out to Him and seek Him.
