When Jesus began His public ministry, demons would tremble when He came near. His presence stirred up these demons that operated in the unseen world, a world in which Jesus was familiar.
Before He ascended into heaven, Jesus told His disciples, “I’m going to give you the same power of authority over demons when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. We’re not subject to evil spirits—they are subject to us.”
