One of the central things Jesus talked about was His kingdom, yet we are not taught it enough—or teach it ourselves—and that probably comes from a lack of understanding what it truly is. The kingdom of God is not some far off distant realm in the universe that is out of reach. Jesus preached that the kingdom is in you! The kingdom inside of you means you are now the “Christ” in the earth, once you are a born-again Christian filled with the Holy Ghost. In our latest episode of the Recovery to RECOVERED podcast on Charisma Podcast Network, apostle Ron Carpenter, one of the leading teachers on the topic of the kingdom, joins the show to discuss his revelation of what God has shared with him about the kingdom, the Holy Spirit and the supernatural. He also releases an apostolic mandate for the church and discusses both where we are right now and where we are heading as the church comes out of a global pandemic.
The kingdom message is about the culture, customs and influence of one place invading another. Hence, Jesus says when you pray, pray for the kingdom of heaven to invade the kingdom of earth. God is wanting us to get what is finished in heaven and pull it into the earth! The kingdom is multifaceted as well because the kingdom is in the earth and the kingdom is in you. There is the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God. Ron teaches that salvation is for everyone, but the things encompassed in the kingdom are not for the casual Christian but for the seeker. If the message of the kingdom was Jesus’ central message, shouldn’t it be ours as well?
Ron and I tackle the topic of the supernatural and the Holy Spirit as well and why so many of our prominent voices in Christian circles have taken the route of putting Him on the shelf in the name of “church growth.” This has resulted in full church buildings and the best facilities money can buy, but the result of this type of model is where we are as a country—full of division, chaos and turmoil. That is something only the Holy Ghost can straighten out. It’s time let the Holy Ghost back in the church.
