It was movie night and the show of choice was the grand finale of the Avengers series. There was no way our team was going to miss it. We were all roped in and before you knew it, tickets were purchased and a dress code instituted. Every attendee had to pick their fave character and dress up for the show.
What can I say; these guys keep Craig and me young! What’s it about the movie industry that has the power to shape our culture and mindset? Simply put, we’re created to be visual. It’s such a natural part of our human DNA. If you ponder on this, it’s easy to imagine how visions are one of the easiest ways for Jesus to communicate with you.
Jesus wants to speak to you through visions. In fact, He already does! You just need to shift gears a little to recognize it. So here are some pointers for you when it comes to flowing in visions.
Firstly, Jesus Talks in Types and Shadows
Revelation 9:17 (NKJV): “And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.”
Look at this imagery in the book of Revelation! (And the producer of Avengers thought he could set a scene!) The Lord’s been speaking to us in imagery since the beginning. Our part is to interpret it.
Secondly, You Don’t Need to Be Slain
Simply put, a vision is a picture the Holy Spirit imprints on your mind. It’s really that simple. When Craig and I stormed the studio to podcast “You Can Flow in Visions: Let Us Show You How,” I brought clarity to our listeners.
Many wait for a trance vision or for the Holy Spirit to strike them to the ground to speak. The Lord Jesus is a gentleman. I promise, He’s speaking to you even as you read this. He’s sending pictures to your mind and expressing His heart to you.
It doesn’t depend on your righteousness. It doesn’t depend on how long you’ve been saved. All that you need to hear Jesus through visions is to be born again with a hunger to have a relationship with Him.
Thirdly, Shut Out the Noise
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. If you want to flow in visions, then seek out the peace. It’s hard to hear His voice when your mind is full of fear, guilt and frustration.
So, if you really want to know the secret to hearing Jesus better, it’s to find Him in the quiet. Put down your cellphone. Close the door and sit in His presence for a while.
